Juliet is a college student who wanted to use her privilege to help others. She noticed that many people, including herself, felt conflicted and uncomfortable when passing a homeless person. We are told not to give out cash, and people often don’t have time to go and buy food or other materials. The result is that we often just ignore homeless or less fortunate people, even though we have the means to help. Juliet started Caritas with the goal of giving everyday people an opportunity to help homeless people in real time. She designed a package that could be easily purchased and carried around to give away. She is working with her team to expand Caritas, telling more people about our mission and giving them the opportunity to purchase a care package.

Our Promise

Caritas is one of the Latin words for love, and it is where the word “charity” came from. Love is at the center of our organization, and we will strive to give love to those who live in turmoil. As we look to the future, Caritas hopes to expand to online ordering, employing people without steady income in distribution centers. We also hope to get involved in shelters, food distribution, clothing donations, and more. With your help purchasing care packages or making donations, we can work towards these goals and make a lasting impact on communities.
